Life in pain is a short film about a high school senior that will do anything to get a track and field scholarship to college.

Jessica, a 17-year-old high school senior, has been running races for as long as she can remember. Finally, all her work is about to pay off when scouts come to her school to see her race. As she trains for the big day she encounters some unexpected obstacles. Jessica must try to fight past these obstacles if she ever wants to go to college.  Life in Pain is a heartbreaking drama about a girl who suffers of the harsh conditions that some athletes may develop. While researching other peoples experience with compartment syndrome, I realized that the hardest part of developing this condition is the people who make you think your crazy and feel like you’re faking the pain. Getting the word out about compartment syndrome will help people be more considerate of these athletes and make it easier for them to get help.through pain to reach her goal. The idea for this short film came after my, myself got the rare condition of compartment syndrome and wanted to open people’s eyes
